Came across this today. Do not remember seeing this back then. Typical EVH behavior.

--- Ok, so it's been a few months since this pic was taken (end of October 2002)... I just so happened to find this forum today, and thought you all might like to see a relatively recent pic of Ed.

Funny thing actually, cause it was early morning on a Sunday outside the Disneyland hotel, and this disheveled person comes wandering by my sister and asks for a cigarette and a light... she was hesitant cause she thought he was a bum... she hooked him up, and he wandered off... I told her "was it cool giving a smoke to Eddie Van Halen?"... So then she freaked out (you can still see the cigarette in his hand in the pic), and we caught up with him and asked for pic. He was pretty cool, but I could tell he really didn't wanna stop to get his photo taken... ---

Cool story. Can't beleive eddie has to bum smokes. AS much as he smokes I would think he would always have a carton laying within arms length at any given moment. But heck if he's gunna bum a smoke the least he can do is pose for a pic and not get a tude about it.
