If there isn't a reunion down the pike, why should Ed waste his time drinking and doing nothing after the Van Hagar reunion tour? Get together some vets and pound out a record. Why does it HAVE to be a "Van Halen" project. The brand name has just about run its course, save a few remaining options. He's still has a a lot time left, despite putting one foot in the grave, to put out some great music.

Something I've thought of many times myself..

Ed claims to be such a prolific song writer with so much in the can, You would think that he might strike out on a colaboration just once?? I think either he's (they're) lying about the amount thats actually in the can, Or the material's sub-standard (and he knows this) so he doesn't want to take the chance.

We already know the contempt that Ed has for Mike, You would think at some point he's gonna snap to the fact that Alex contributes little more than bad advice to the situation, regardless of being family....

Yes I would buy it! And as for Alex and Mike in their recent interviews... Fuck em both! I find it interesting though that Ed has been relativley quiet about Dave. Dave we all know has said nothing, and the last 2 times they "got together" (96, 2000) it was put together between dave and ed. dave said when he walked in to 5150 to record MWM and CGTSNM, that alexs' jaw hit the floor when he saw him. I think if ANY collaboration happens in the future, it will be again put together by ed and dave. I dont like what al and mike said, but any future VH is still Ed and Dave's call, al and mike are irrelevant! If Ed and Dave want it to happen, it will!
