Dave being an EMT just shows his goodness. Can you picture that self-centered ALEX doing that job? Al would see a homeless guy on the street, and ask him to sing for VH...

This EMT does put one VH related myth to bed for me: That Dave is an egocentric, self obsessed maniac.

What glory hound DOESN"T want his exploits publicized?

What egomaniac can humble himself enough to work and study under people who have maybe a 16th of his net worth?

What kind of person does this while relocating across the country and working for free?

Diamond Dave is the Hemingway of rock n roll and represents the best of what Americans are.

Dave is helping to keep human beings alive, not the ghost of a great rock band which has been dead for 20 years and charging for it through the nose.

The only thing that concerns me about the publicity is that it may open him up to scumbags who would file suit for negligence to not only the ambulance company, but to a very wealthy rock star as well.

I have to wonder about the publicity as well... at first he declined comment, and then suddenly he is EVERYWHERE! He got his 200 rides in... and saved a life. Is he maybe ready to get serious about the release of some new material????

:D I received 20 emails from friends and relatives about this story! My Yahoo Alerts practically blew up with the countless media agencies that snowballed the article from the interview.

Hmmm, that's a good point about the ambulance chasers (pun intended) that might watch Dave like a hawk, looking for him to fuck up.

We all know he won't. YAAAAAYYYYY DAVY BABY!!!!
