I think something will be in the works for Memorial Day.

Honestly, I think the band is over. I would love to see DAVE back, but frankly...look at this shit. Ed is a fucking drunk that can't keep anything together. Dave does not like him and has said "Don't hold your breath." Alex is a cocksucker that bitches about Dave ALL THE TIME and says he will never be back. Mikey is Sammy's buddy and is probably on the phone with Sam AS WE SPEAK, agreeing that Eddie is an asshole.

VAN HALEN is over.

And frankly, if Dave's not in the band, I want them to be over.

Nah... the promoters would eat it up. Negative publicity sticks in peoples minds longer. Curiosity would be up for how Ed would behave on any future tours.

Ed has been acting like a wacko the whole tour... marking up his guitar neck... not remembering the old tunes... holes in his shoes...flintsones hairdo...

if he was that far gone, do you really think he would have made it 80 shows? (in his condition)

I would agree with that, IF this tour had made any money. Right now I don't think Dave would touch Ed with a bardge pole.

The shape of THE reunion of a lifetime will emerge like a nuclear explosion in your toilet, early March to early June next year. Right at the brink of summertime.

Eddie will call Dave, originally the call being about something trivial. (For example, goin' to a titty bar to sober up from the harsh realities of life.)

Dave'll be a full member of the club. (Ed and Alice already tried the "traveling singer for hire" bit with Spam. Did it work? Exactly.)
And of course there'll be a new album. It's inevitable. A person like Dave doesn't want to quit anything without makin' some noise.

After 89 gigs and countless interviews in the U.S. alone, Dave'll do a roundhouse kick on stage right in the middle of a impromptu medley (which ironically includes "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"). Eddie trips on a cord, and gets Diamond Dave's size something shoe front row center of his skull.

My prediction? It'll be GRREAT!, in a fuckin' grandioso, "holy-shit-what-are-those-guys-thinkin'-The-world-doesn't-have-enough-electricity-for-that-PA-system-"-sort of way.

Speculations? I'll leave that to someone with a brain... :D

Well, I for one don't think Dave should go anywhere NEAR Van Halen at this point in the game...I'd be more than happy to just let the whole thing go, Dave can continue to do the EMT work, as it's what he WANTS to do, and maybe grace us all with an occasional album; let Ed and Al and their stupid little band fade away like a bad memory. There's nobody out there who can work with these guys at this point. Nobody in their right mind would WANT to.

Still, if it's gonna happen, I'll be onboard the whole way - hell, I might even go post at the links, who the fuck knows...LMAO
