Your really missing the bus here...this IS un rock star like behavior, YES. That is the point. Dave is a human being first and foremost, so if he makes a choice to help other human beings, than he has every right to do it, his rock star status notwithstanding.

Would you prefer more "ROCK STAR" like behavior, such as being drunk to the point nobody can stand you, smashing guitars and writing all over yourself with magic markers?
