Originally posted by diamondsgirl Dave blew Sam AWAY! The crowd was mostly pro-Roth and Sam was treated as an opening act. People were still walking around getting beers, using the rest rooms, etc. And then when Roth took the stage it was SHOWTIME!
I concur! Feel lucky that you can still see Roth live!

Where were you sitting?
Lakewood ain't that grate unless you're up fairly close.
You from Atlanta?
We were opposit of you guys, right front, row 3. It was an awesome show. It seemed clear a good 75% of the crowd was there exclusively for Dave, don't you agree?
Lakewood... Never did care for it, myself. Anything past the first 20-30 rows and you might as well just do lawn as the acoustics are gonna suck either way.
Did you catch the Dave show at Chastain the year after sans halen? We were practically on the stage that night, just left of center. That was one rockin' night! Maybe the best I've heard Dave sound solo since EEAS...

Sure did.....had a table left front. Pouring down fucking rain. Do you recall a couple drunk chicks trying to fight?
LMAO, that was the little woman & company after mucho jack of the daniels....Kim Wilson opened up that night, I thought he and his band were pretty darn good.

You guys had to have been right next to us... we probably talked, I'll bet. I remember the gals getting riled up, too!
Even with the rain all day, the place was packed and Dave gave it 110%. With the tight confines there, we had our hands literally on the stage at times. Missed the open, walked (make that ran) in the door in the nick of time!
So how the fuck did that big piece of fuckin red Jello get in to VH. Who ever though sammy was cool. The guy has never wanted any thing more then the money the fans give him. Even on the 95 Release Balance sammy proceeds to claim in the song "Money" Is thats all he wants. Big Fat Money. Basically telling his fans that he wants to rip them off. What kind of music and or message is that to sell to your fans. Fuck.
Sammy is nuthing but a stinkin old horse carcass.
