Vhagar ATTENDANCE FROM SEATTLE

The Vhagar extavaganza limped its way into Seattle recently. Here are the numbers from BILLBOARD MAGAZINE. They sold 9,726 tickets out of an available 11,970. The gross was a little over $666,000. They played Key Arena which has a true capacity of over 17,000. I would say at least 13,000 tickets could have been put up for sale (taking the back of the stage loss etc etc) but obviously word has gotten around that they aren't coming close to selling out the vast majority of their shows. I'm prediciting a per night average for this tour of about 9,000 when all is said and done. A far cry from the "rapid-fire sellouts" hagar predicted. Also very disappointing numbers for a "supergroup" on their "reunion" tour. We'll all know soon when Pollstar releases its year end totals.

Honestly the shows were very good, but i think that price was a big factor.. The ticket prices for the VAN HAGAR shows just cost way too much.. It was 100 a ticket in Atlantic City.. and they were selling TSHIRTS for $45.00.. it's insane. I think if they would've haven made this a bit more affordable.. more seats would have been filled.. I wouldn't say they'd be selling out buildings, but definetely more in attendance if they had reasonable ticket prices.
