Why Wasn't There A Video For "I'll Wait" ?

Probably because they had already done 2 videos for that album.

Videos were new then, and weren't cheap.Originally Posted by WARF:

A) Jump cost less than $800 U$D to create.
B) Panama wasn't too expensive either, was only editing costs.
C) H4T was the most expensive of the 3.
Does anyone have the FACTS regarding why "I'LL WAIT" didn't have a video? It's listed as a hit release from '1984', but yet no video. Were they already split up by then?
FACTS anyone?Comment

Maybe they didn't want to do 4 videos, out of 8 non-instrumental songs on the album.

your answer sounded like an opinion, that's all.....shit calm down!
Jump cost less than $800 U$D, read that in a few VH Biographies...I think even Dave said so in his book.
To be honest with you, I lost my interest in chattin' w/you....see an anger management shrink or sumpin'.....I wasn't tryin to aggravate you, just a misunderstanding that you had to turn the volume up on....Comment

They shot, edited, mixed the sound, and paid the crew for the "Jump" video for less than $800?

Still doesn't make sense, and you can fuck yourself.Originally Posted by WARF:

I don't know for sure but I'm guessing the reason a video was never made for "I'll Wait" is because at first they didn't think it was necessary, and then when it got popular it was too late. I'll Wait was released as a single shortly after the album was released and didn't do too well. So they stopped selling it and Jump/Panama/HFT singles were released in that order, each doing pretty well and having its own video. Then, they re-released the I'll Wait single towards the end of the year (probably just to get rid of the copies made for the first release), and it did a lot better than it initially had. I'm sure if it had done as well on the initial release, they would have made a video, but by the time the single was successful, the album had been out for almost a year.Comment

I read an interview with some video producer who said that it wasn't filmed with a cheap 8mm camera and it was much more expencive than 800$...Roth Army Icon
