Well... We all agree here that David is THE unquestionable Mr Performer Number One. Who else could raise dead corpses with damn hot rock 'n' roll fever? Yeah, but...
I feel he doesn't get the adequate consideration he deserves, both as the most outstanding singer and stage pyromaniac and as a person. I read his autobiography in Scotland in '98, as it is still not translated into French today (I now and then think about doing it myself!), I've seen many interviews, show reports, golden VH and his solo records are the ones I've most listened to for so long, and I'm wondering if he is not simply too good for the job, as not tripping his "way-too-much-may-be-enough" thrust and his hilarious wit, on and back the stage, all that is the case of a large majority. Cold fish, the biggest part, enjoy anything, but the best. Same thing in food, movies, papers, arts, etc. Can't help it. But ain't it a pain!?
People don't even know what an entertainer is. Hell, Diamond offers the most brilliant rock 'n' roll, jokes, "spectacularity" and friendliness an artist could ever give. They won't get a damn ounce of what he achieves. He's just the definitive entertainer.
We are a few millions to know. We have the best times. But it's too obvious for cretins to see!
