Well I too was at the Glasgow gig last night, and I was one of the many who were thoroughly entertained by Dave and his exceptional band.Sure it's the same old one-liners and moves every show, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better showman around. The 'Armadillo' in Glasgow wasn't far off sold-out,and if you can sleep thru 100 mins of 'Eruption' et al,then you're either comatose,or at the wrong show!
I was at the Glasgow gig last night; went along not expecting too much, came away absolutely astounded. DLR was fantastic; I'd never seen him before and still can't believe how good he was. The energy level was incredible; even for a twenty year old man this would have been great - for a man of his age it was incredible.
The songs were excellent, the band were tight and the performance as a whole was probably the best I've seen from a rock act.
Beg, steal or borrow the means to get to one of these gigs!
The Glasgow gig was superb (what else could it have been !!) It followed the same set listing as the Japan shows and Dave looked great and happy. Last time he was in Scotland was 10 freaking years ago man, so this was a LOOOONG time comin' !! For a country that gets 3 mentions in his book - you would think that he would've missed the place !!
Found a interview done on th 24th Feb (day before this show) with BBC London for Danny Baker's morning show. Dave's on fine form :-) Check it out at the link below:
I'm afraid i'm not too hot with this digital photography lark, but here's another pic from last night in Glasgow.
Apologies for the poor quality, but I was near the back of the stalls!
