Um actually, Mike is a great bassist my point of view. I would love to find a bassist like that.

Finding a bassist and drummer that can keep tight and keep the beat without fucking OVERPLAYING like a Van Hagar fan looking at gay porno is one of the hardest things to do.

The great thing about early VH is that the drums and bass don't interfere with the 2 highlights of the band, Dave's uhhh whatever you call it, it sure is great thing, and Eddie's playing.

Therefore, when Sammy came in, they came out really fucking lame sounding, because if you have 2 highly entertaining guys going at it, and one leaves, that only leaves half the entertainment. (Meaning Sam was nothing of value to the band) However, we know that half the entertainment is really NO entertainment. Sorta like how 2 shots of Whiskey might give you a buzz, but 1 shot does absolutely nothing.

Mike is a talented musician, but lets be real. He has absolutley zero front man qualities. Why do you think he gets along with Hagar so well. A solo project would be a complete waste of his and the world's time.

Um no, 'Madd' Anthony is a competent bassist at best. As Johnny Rotten once said about Sid Vicious, he's a "coat hanger" with a Jack Daniels bass strapped to him and a XXXL t-shirt to cover his man breasts.

Hell, just today I heard an MP3 of that interview Eddie did with those tool, ass-kissing DJ's. And he back-handedly slams Mikey by saying fat Wolfie can play bass better than anyone he's heard.

It's not the fact that he can play that's important. Can you really imagine VH with any OTHER bassist?

Also, let's think about it for awhile....

Let's say Eddie is playing a song, all of a sudden, some blistering bass solo pops up.

It's just gonna sound like ass.

Mikey and Alex are important in VH BECAUSE they don't stand out. Having them stand out would have just interfered with the stuff we get from Dave and Eddie.

If there is a CVH reunion, however unlikely the prospect, then yes I would prefer to have the whole fuckin' kit and caboodle (as in all the original members). But if you try telling me Mikey is a great artist unto himself or any kind of a bass virtuoso or a "great" lead singer, you are crazy from the heat.

If Mike was up to it he probably would have done it by now.

And his preference for all things Sammy Hagar is a pretty good indicator for what kind of songwriter he'd be. No thanks!
