    Van Ha???/Aerosmith Summer Tour?

my local radio station in Kansas City is reporting a rumor that Aerosmith and Van Halen might be planning a tour this summer, the DJ didn't say anything was official. also, he made it sound like its w/ Hagar. he said that he saw the Van Halen show a couple months ago and wasn't inpressed w/ Eddie at all. he said that Sammy was fun and rocked but the Van Halen bros were weird and "funky" hopefully the rumor is true, but w/o Hagar. could you imagine an Aerosmith/ VAN HALEN tour, that would be insane! even bigger that the 'Smith/ KISS tour of a couple of summers ago.

I'd only go to see Aerosmith. At least I feel that they respect their fans.

        Would sorta make sense, though.

VH's management has learned that they are not quite the draw they thought they were, so in order to fill the seat get a double headlining tour going.

BTW, this tour would NEVER happen with Dave. The boys in 'smith don't like him.

The rumor has to be false, what I've heard at the end of the Van Hagar tour last summer, Sammy and Eddie hated each other's guts and couldn't get along. It got so bad Sammy and Eddie couldn't get on the same plane or tour bus.

Does anyone else have any Info to back up the Van Halen/Aerosmith rumors?

I'd be more inclined to believe an Aerosmith/Roth tour first. Remember, It was Steven Tyler who backed out of and recommended Dave for the Fourth of July Boston Pops gig! Aerosmith isnt doing anything with VH if Dave is not included..IMO.

BTW..an Aerosmith/DLR tour would be great!

It's The Wiggles/ Van Halen tour not Aerosmith.

              Get your facts right!!

If Dave got back with VH, every single show would be sold out across the country and the world, they wouldn't need a double headlining tour to sell tickets.

Everyone wants to see the "Real VH", not Spammy acting like a Jackass on stage.

Only reason the Van Hagar tour sold any tickets at all last year, everyone wanted to see Eddie for the last time more likely, they didn't give a fuck about Spammy Gaygar or Van Hagar.

Only way I see Van Halen going on tour again is if they got a new head singer, it's never going to happen with Dave or Sammy.

Right GR...I meant an Aerosmith/ DLR band tour... but maybe this has something to do with the Boston Pops gig? Wasn't there a "deal" or something in Dave getting the bill?

I am not saying that IF Dave where back with Van Halen, AND they did tour this summer... that they would need to Co-Headline... but it sure the hell wouldn't hurt.

What I am saying is that IF Dave were back with Van Halen, AND they DID tour this summer... you better believe it would be in a way that guarantees sold out shows all the way around. There is no way Dave would take a chance on coming back to the mediocrity that was the Van Hagar summer tour.

VAN HALEN (meaning, the original band) would have a hyped-up reunion tour. There is NO CHANCE in hell that they would do a package show! Last summer's tour was a mediocrity because almost every radio station ignored or badmouthed the song and reminded listeners that this wasn't a reunion of the ORIGINAL band. Only complete morons actually went to the shows. "I'm going to see VAN HALEN!!" Sure you are.

Anybody that saw this tour should be taken out and shot. It was mediocrity because Hagar is hated and that line-up is finished. Doesn't anyone think it's significant that a Greatest Hits album with two new Roth songs sells over two million in a few months but a Greatest Hits with three new Hagar songs hasn't sold half a million in half a year??

van hagar would need aerosmith to tour with them because they filled only what? 1/10th of the arena. a van HALEN reunion wouldnt need aerosmith to tour with them, they would need a bigger stadium. plus joe perry hates evh anyway
