Panamark not "one of the best" this album "was" the best debut of all time.

Amazing isnt it! The album...27 years...here we sit praising it like it came out yesterday! Thats the thing Ed and Al will never understand...how they literally changed the face of music overnight with this album. Second, that the passion we ALL have for the original band will NEVER DIE...if they would only wake up....

Do you think in the year 2013 ANYBODY will be talking about the 27th anniversary of the release of 5150? I think not...

I'm sure they will. Millions of 40 year olds will be laying on a psychiatrist's couch paying lots of money to discuss it at length.

"Doc, the new VH album came out. I rushed out to buy it. I turned it on and turned it up loud. Everything was going good in my 13 year old life. The song started. I was ready. Let me hear those vocals......WTF? What is this screeching I'm hearing. These new CD's make Dave sound like he's getting his nuts squished in a vice. Oh God, it's not Dave. Who is it? IT'S SPERMY HAGAR! My world is crumbling. I can't get the sound out of my head. Give me booze and drugs. Maybe that will help. IT DOESN'T HELP! Now I'm strung out on booze and drugs. I'm stealing money from the charitable donation box at McDonalds drive thrus to get the money to buy my Mad Dog 20/20. I'm prostituting myself at the docks to support my crack habit. Why didn't that CD come with a warning label....BEWARE DAVE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE. I didn't know. I DIDN'T KNOW"

LMAO....you're right though too. That "hello, baby" that begins the 5150 album, made me cringe!

...in that instant...VH ceased to exist!

I remember after my friend had bought the album, we would both grab those big yardsticks that you'd buy at a paint store, and jam air guitar to Ed....

I had never heard anything that good, and to this day haven't heard anything better....

And it still sounds fresh, doesn't it?

If it debuted today it'd be flying off the shelves.
