    Should Dave form a Supergroup?

I know this may have been disussed before. But do you think Dave should form a supergroup like Ringo Starr does or others have done.
If so, who would be in the group? Please exclude van halen, the eeas band,or his current band!! This is just for the hell of it!!

There were rumors of Slash, Tommy Lee, and Dave forming a band back in the day....

That was just a rumor though.

Nobody mentioned a bass player, or maybe it was Sheehan, not sure.

I hate the term supergroup usually just a waste of time.Look at ASIA great first album. If hes not gonna do VH do the original Eat em and smile lineup.Thats the ticket i reckon.Daves ego is too big too share the spotlight im afraid and i mean that respectively. And his ego should be that big..

No. But I do think he should put together his own package tour with big-name bands from yesterday and today like an Ozzfest.

After 20 years of being apart, there is one thing brutally apparent....

Dave, Ed, Alex, and Mike were meant to play together....

Irregardless of EEAS and the other variations of Dave's bands...

                Definitely irregardless of Van Hagar/Cherone....

Every musician that he has played with, past or present, was "top notch." He probably wouldn't expect anything less. Right?

Nah. Name musicians don't always equal greatness when mixed together.

Nothing wrong with Dave's current band. It's not CVH and never will be, but they play the classics well enough (have doubts Ed could even keep up with Brian at this point).

But, just for the fuck of it:

                        David Lee Roth - vocals
                        Dweezil Zappa - guitar
                        Rudy Sarzo - bass
                        Tommy Aldridge - drums

Zappa, influenced bigtime by EVH, + Ozzy's 1982 live rhythm section with Roth fronting over it would be interesting to hear.

Supergroup huh? How about Matt White on Guitar, DavidLeeNatra on Bass, Rikk on Drums, and ScottytheBody on Guitar? Call the band The ROTHHARDCORES.

Any band Dave is a part of is a super group, period.

                              Should Dave Form A Supergroup?

That's a good question. The EEAS line-up was pretty super but if I were to choose the members, they would be as follows:

                              Vinnie Paul - Drums
                              Dave Mustaine - Rhythm Guitar
                              Joe Satriani - Lead Guitar
                              Robert Trujillo - Bass

I know that Dave has only worked with two guitarists on one album (ALAE - Steve Hunter and Jason Becker) but the fact is taht a lot of his stuff and classic VH were mixed for two guitars.....even if Ed didn't know how to do them at first.
                              Whatcha think folks?
