If you have watched the "Van Halen, The Early Years" DVD Alex Van Halen rips David Lee for making the band include "Dancing In The Street" on Diver Down and how inapropriate it was. So they release their little "Best Of Both Worlds" 2 CD set with Dancing In The Street on it and NOT Little Guitars!!!! Disgracful.
Not a nostalgia act

They were obviously not trying to please their fans when they released BOBW because they released all the songs any real VH fan would already have (the DLR era).
They were out for the money and they probably took suckers like you for a ride when you purchased it.
Alex is a cock smoker and I dont care what anyone says Dancing in the Streets kicks ass.
DLR fucking rules. -

DIVER DOWN is a great album. Very nostalgic for me since "Intruder--(Oh) Pretty Woman" is the song that mad me a fan at 11 years old! I always heard the reason there were so many covers on it was that Ed had writers block. Has anyone else heard this?Comment

BANG ON!!
When VH had the album release for VD III, Alex talked about how incredibly creatively FRUSTRATED Eddie was for Diver Down. And those pricks blame it all on Dave!!
Good job, I'm surprised no one else mentioned it.Comment

Ya know, back in the day I actually went to a used record store and bought 5150, and even OU812. I listened to each one of them one time, put them in my tape case, and...hmmm they are still there. I know what I am getting rid of next, as not only have I not listened to the damned things since I bought them ( I think I got them for like 2 bucks apiece), but I have no desire to listen to them ever again anyway!!!
Fucking lame pop music.
Dave (if he DID force Dancing In The Streets on them) had the right idea....pay some homage to someone from the Motwon Era....when music was fucking REAL!
Dave has great taste in music....that much is certain.Comment
