According to Contactmusic.com comedy actor JAMIE KENNEDY wants to star in a movie about the life of VAN HALEN rocker DAVID LEE ROTH. The Son Of The Mask star is a massive rock fan and is convinced, despite his clean cut appearance, he can carry off playing the blonde-haired wrinkly rocker. He explains, "Because he's a really great entertainer. "Not many people know his story but it's pretty interesting. And I also want to do OZZY, but COLIN FARRELL's going to get it because he's a funny little leprechaun. Did I say that?"

I agree 1000%. If anybody was/is gonna play DAVE, let it be a total unknown, so I can HATE the fucker right off the bat. NOBODY could do the MIGHTY ROTH justice. It just ain't humanly possibly.

For me, I guess it would all depend on how the movie played out...if the whole movie revolved around the concept of "Dave's an asshole, and that's why Van Halen crashed in 1985 and thank God Sammy Hagar was there to raise the phoenix from the ashes" bit, I'll go shoot the guy in the projection booth on the spot.

I wonder how David himself would feel about the prospects?
