What Is It With Al?

whenever i see the hollow shell of VH with the goateed king kong bundy (my apologies to mr. bundy) doing interviews, al always seems to come off and laid back and cool, with stupid little sayings: "live by the sword die by the sword..." and explanations about why they re-hired sloth. he seems to have perfectly ready lines to express why he can look past the BS and reunite...how the hell would he anwser all of our hatreds with him and the rock fans all over the world if they get back together with roth? he'll try to take the fact that he'll be eating his words about never working with him again and sum it up in a cute succinct way. fuck that. i don't think ed is evil, and i like the original lineup, but i really dislike the fact that al seems to have the say over ed (the once musical juggernaut) after all these rotten desicions the band (al?) has made...sure al, you're coy and cool...but i'd like it if you'd fall out of another tree.

Al controls Ed; then Ed makes the decisoin publicly. Ed wanted to quit the band at one time and Al forced him to stay.

Mike is a sumo wrestler, Al is Doctor Van Halen, Ed is in a mental hospital, and David Lee Roth is a game show host. They weren't straying too far form the truth.

Al comes off like he's giving a bunch of pre-thought and rehearsed answers in his interviews. Also still believes he's in control of a band that still matters. Van Halen's been of no use to me for going on 20 years now. Same with Al.
