Van Halen and my Economics report

I'm thinking of doing a report for my economics class arguing that Van Halen experiences the Law of Diminishing Returns, citing that everytime they add a new singer to the fold, the quality of their creative output suffers increasingly.

Any thoughts on how I can elaborate on this? Thanks!

Throw a parallel in there regarding the failure of the new coca-cola formula that bombed.

You know, it was sicky-sweet....the more sugar and bullshit they added, the more it "watered down" the original.

You can throw in some shit about the eventual "classic coke" marketing, and the consumer labeling of the "van hagar" product.
