I was just listening to Q104.3 here in NY and the DJ played Eruption followed by You Really Got Me. He said the question he gets asked the most is "Are Dave and Eddie getting back together?".

He then mentioned that he knows Eddie as a personal friend.

Then he said, he'd be in the front row if it happened, but "don't hold your breath".

Bastards.

No mention of FatSam.

Don't take anything that a DJ says concerning their relationship w/any celebrity. Just because they may have met someone famous at one of those"let's jack off the local media to get more airplay" meet and greets doesn't qualify for friendship no matter what this Bozo might think. In any case, would you think Eddie has ANY real personal friends beyond the bottle and an 8 Ball? Don't listen to any of these airplay clowns for any real information as they're more clueless than even they know.

I'm about at the point of "Who fuckin' cares?", personally.

Honestly, from a personal standpoint (and NO, I don't know the man, don't know what drives him or what his motivations are, so...), I can't see David going back to Van Halen as it stands now.

Were Ed to actually clean up his fuckin' act and Al to get a fuckin' grip on reality, were they to actually PRACTICE and sound LIKE Van Halen is supposed to sound, well...who knows...but as it stands, I frankly think Dave's well aware that he's much better as far removed from that freakshow as possible, at least as it stands.

I've no doubt at all that, deep down, they all four still love each other like family, and they could ACT like a real family again, given the right circumstances, but God damn if sometimes you just got to get away from those fuckin' annoying family members sometimes...

What I'm getting at is that it IS indeed possible - ANYTHING in this world is possible. Doubt it not. But whether or not it's actually LIKELY is another matter entirely.
