My next door neighbor used to be a roadie and still has lots of connections in the touring biz. He occassionally will drop by with a bootleg for me and has made me several copies of old VH bootlegs. Many of which have been posted here.
Yesterday he came by with a nice surprise. 3 VHS video tapes. The US Festival, the Argentina concert, and another with misc. videos, interviews and cool snippets of things I have never seen before.
The misc. video opens with Ed being interviewed by Kirt Loder. It was right around the release of 0U812. The interview was good but almost sad in the fact that Ed was so cool and normal. Not drunk, very humble and mellow. No Dave bashing. He even spoke somewhat fondly of the old days.
Its a shame what's become of him and Van Halen. Boy I miss the glory days. Seeing those guys live in concert on those tapes really bummed me out. WHAT A COLOSSAL WASTE.
