So today I'm driving on I-70 in Jersey on my way back to the Philly airport, having spent a couple of days in Jersey work-related....

We had worked all night Friday night to finish up the job in one night, so I was still tired as shit....

Channel surfing on the radio, I pick up 93.3, WMMR, from which I've heard is a good rock station in Philly....

The female DJ says, "and after the break we got some Van Halen coming your way"....

I immediately perk up a little...

Maybe some "Unchained" ?? A little ATBL ??? YRGM possibly ???

So the 135 commercials end, and the music starts....

Is that fucking piano ??

Yep, it sure the fuck is! Van Hagar needs to open up for Bon Jovi for an entire tour this time..........I'm sure Lou is already greasing up over just the thought of that. Maybe Jon and Sam could do a duet of "I'll be there for you", complete with stage props(tampons, roses, frilly pajamas, and of course SpongeBob masks!).

Lou turned me on to easytree.org and I shit you not. I have over 50 concerts on DVD and at least that many concerts on CD's. Every one in soundboard quality. I don't care for shitty sounding bootlegs.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Philly radio......but frankly...radio in the whole town SUCKS! I was born and raised in the Philly area....and I used to actually work in radio in Philly...and I can tell you that it BLOWS.

93.3 WMMR was a great rock station.....20 years ago.

But now they're like all the others....formats constantly in flux....revolving door of jocks and morning shows because everyone gets their ass handed to them by the all-news station and Howard Stern.

Again....sorry about your experience with Philly radio. But let that be a lesson to you. Next time you're in the area, have the cd-changer or mp3 player ready to roll.
