Another really good morning listening to the Diamond one.

Twice in a row someone asked about him and VH and he reiterated the story I mentioned early on and then when the second caller asked again he said something along the lines of "not sure what to say, we've been over this, lets move on." He seemed much more like DDLR in the sense that he was throwing out Davism's left and right, and MAN is this boy quick! He's pulling out stuff and I'm cracking up just in awe with how fast he comes up with this stuff!

He talked alot about the music of today and how it's not the same as it used to be back in the day. He talked about his dislike for "reality shows" and the fact that there really is nothing real about them...it's still just people trying to act. Anyway...he went on for 3 hours and it was goooood!

I'm counting on the other poster to get the stuff online. I really don't have the means so I appologize for that. Trust me that it's good! I hope that all that wish to hear it get a chance to.

IMO, A CVH Tour will never happen until all the litigation is over from the Van SpamBoys Tour, and EVH goes through major rehab.

VH’s 04 promoter, Clear Channel lost over $4 Billion for 2004, and $18.95 Billion for the three years 2002-2004. Also both the '98 or '04 VH Tours were money losers for the promoters.

CCC, or no other major promoter, will touch VH until the above issues are cleaned up, and a promoter(s) can be assured of a successful CVH Tour.

Clear Channel rakes in many billions in ad revenue generated by their many radio stations as well as other media outlets. They can afford to lose money on promoting concerts.

Feck them anyway. They are the main reason radio is so fucked up these days.......not to mention the anti-trust issues and their continual attempts at world domination in the music biz.....

Not trying to split hairs Hardrock, and you are right about CCC fucking the industry up major, but the $4 and $19 billion losses are net consolidated losses. I am saying it's the net bottom line losses after all consolidated revenues and expenses.

No company can afford to lose that kind of money. CCC stock use to be $90, now it's $32, and still overvalued.

Not anymore! Clear Channel is taking a bath and their stock is crapping the bed. They bought radio stations that were wildly overvalued. They won't have money to burn for anything. The only Van Hagar tour this year will be as an opener for a band that can still really draw (Aerosmith) or at your local fairgrounds!
