To the fucking moron that made the comment about Dave era being out 7 more years...
well...uh...no shit....
so let's compare that piece of shit 5150 to 1984...with 1984 rolling into a huge curiousity factor...as well as throwing together two groups of fans...came out in 1986...2 after 1984...and still had over three million to go to catch 1984...
never happen...
You can stand on your laurels all you want with that 7 year horseshit...but the fact of the matter is this...Van Hagar is an inferior product...with not nearly as many fans...
I mean...only so many dudes can buy the album for their girlfriends...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."
With that being said...I don't give a flying fuck about the numbers...
I'm a Roth-era fanatic...so who gives a fuck how many albums sell...
I don't give a shit about Sammy and the Chirelles...others do...their prerogative...if they want to watch Beaches...that's up to them...

The Chirelles could put out 40 more albums...and if they are lucky...they'll get close...

Well Flappo, there's a lot of speculation that those albums were remastered based on the reunion possibility...if they would have reunited...those albums would have gone through the roof as far as remasters go...
Now...with the potential of a Sammy reunion...look for the WB cash cow to throw out the rest...

a properly remastered CD of OU812 would be...well...would we even get to the blank disc?...
I'm thinking a few thousand pounds of dynamite would do the trick...

Wow, I didn't know you'd be so threatened by a passing comment.

Might be something to be said for a certain amount of those classic lineup sales having to due with people upgrading their classic vinyl and cassettes to CDs, but 1984 and 5150 were released within a little over two years from each other, and 1984 is more than 3 million up on 5150.
Sales figures are meaningless. 5150 outsold Fair Warning, and nobody's ever gonna tell me that 5150 is a better album because of it.
