    The Great Conspiracy of 2000.

"About a year ago, myself and the great Van Halen band played together once or twice and it sounded amazing. In the following several months, Edward and I--Edward Van Halen and me, David Lee Roth--created some of the most amazing, phenomenal--the hands fell off the clock, ladies and gentleman--and we wrote three astonishing tunes.
"That was last July, and since then, I haven't been up to the studio, we haven't really been in touch, and we haven't made any music. But I am holding forth, I'm in the shape of my life, and I got the high note. I'm ready to go."

    - David Lee Roth circa april 2001

The hands fell off the clock...

Is it true that these three songs were re-written by Sammy Hagar and company, or is it just ironic that David Lee Roth is giving us a hint on the song title?

    "It's about TIME"

    Hmmmm....

    Clock

    Time

    Clock

    Time

    CLOCK!!!

    TIME!!!

    DING! DING! DING!

Those fucking lying sisters, took those THREE CLASSIC songs and butchered them, with that fat piece of shit Hagar.... then.... THEY GRILLED THEM UP WITH SOME CABO WABO MARINADE.... AND DIPPED THEM IN MIKEY'S SHITTY FUCKING HOT SAUCE!!!

    And what do you get?

Three terrible songs, that probably would have been mediocre at best with Even David Lee Roth on board.

    Whadd'ya Think?

I'm pretty sure that that is true, If Dave had anything to do with those three abominations on BOBW, they would have been maybe worth a listen instead of being three shit sandwiches for CVH fans.

With the risk of stirring up cuntroversy, maybe those songs in BOBW ARE the three songs and maybe they ARE grate. Could it be that we hate Sammy and the Sisters so much that even if they put out something good, we'll just say it sucks without even giving it a chance? Could it be we're wrong? That we're blindmen because we do not want to see?

In my defense, I'm just speculating, as I have never listened to those songs. Nor do I intend to...

                  Cheers! :bottle:

If you had you wouldn't have posted that.

Even stepping back from the whole Hagar thing they are spectacularly bad.

People I let hear them actually burst out laughing.

It's About Time' is a possibility. But Learning to see and Up for Breakfast? No fucking way would Dave sing that shit. If they are the same 3 songs, Id say they were re-arranged with Sam...
"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"

That LEARNING TO SEE song makes Jefferson Starship sound inspiring. There is no way I can even imagine Dave giving LEARNING TO SHIT a second listen, let along writing lyrics and singing over it.
