    does it piss eddie off

I was thinking the other day, Eddie Van halen guitar god to many all over the world whether they are CVH or Van hagar fans or just rock fans in general. Winner of so many guitar polls and awards etc etc.

However 2 of the most main stream known songs to the casual fan are Jump with Roth and Right now with Hagar. Both theses songs thrive on keyboard-synthesizer/ Piano riffs. Not guitar. All this effort in perfecting the art of guitar playing only to have it overlooked by his keyboard work.

Do you think that pisses Eddie Van Halen Off?????

    Nah.

He said in an interview a few years back that in his opinion the greatest song he ever wrote was "Dump".

I think he is out of his skull (well he is NOW...on ALCOHOL) to say that, but whatever floats his boat....

I think he's more upset by New York State liquor stores being closed on Sundays.

And that Howard Jones beat him to writing "No One Is To Blame".

i think if it really pissed him off he would quit writing on the guitar.. and write more of that piano driven horseshit

I think EVH pisses on himself often enough that he doesn't care about music in general.

Isn't he supposed to be writing soundtrack music with a tuba now?

Its got to piss him off to a certain degree. He invests all this time in guitar and pretty much all VH material revolves around it at one point or another.

Then their more Mainstream hits are keyboard/piano inspired.

Its almost like everything he has done on guitar has been ignored by the pop audience.

Ed's so out of his mind at this point I doubt he even notices.

He has more important things to care about...like where the next bottle is coming from...

                            Ha!

Man, I'd LOVE to know what Van Halen's current record label status is...they're still off of Warner, correct? Man, I doubt any major label would touch them with a ten foot pole at this point. I'd love to know how many labels out there have a "Don't Even Listen" policy in regards to potential Van Halen demos without David these days...

My guess is that if the demos were with Roth, they'd have labels beating a path to their door with offers...

i remember reading somewhere that Eddie wrote quite a lot of the CVH music on a piano, including "Unchained"...
