I know...I watched it live, and a million times since then.

I'll tell you, one of the worst feelings I've ever had was when it was announced that Dave would not be fronting Van Halen again, and then they debuted Me Wise Magic. I remember listening to that song in awe, and at the same time being depressed as hell. I remember telling my wife that those guys are SUPPOSED to make music together. Everything just fits..except for the egos.

Hopefully if/when they get back together Mike and Ed can dress for the occasion instead of a carpenter and a painter who were fixing the podium and didn't get off the stage before MTV came back live.

          Yup...talk about a fuckin' buzzkill.

I remember how good I felt that night.

And how I felt like shit after the announcement came down that DLR was out...again.

I had the exact same feeling.

It was one of the worst letdowns in my life.

Yeah, and maybe skip the part where the 'Painter' (Ed) tries to speak in his indifferent monotone voice..."... and the nominees are..".

Geez, you just walked out to a standing ovation with your original lead singer, before a shocked and amazed crowd, and cannot even acknowledge the significance of the situation and say something remotely humble such as "Thank you, great to be here"????. No social skills whatsoever, and no stage presence other than his guitar playing. That's why he needs Dave (but will never admit it).

I just think that it was a shitty thing to do on the rest of the band's part.

yeah but that's not enough dude, the songs are just van hagar songs with dave's voice on it...to do some real CVH songs , they have to work together

Agreed, but it was still something..

I know, Im just as pissed off as you are, but those are the last two
CVH songs we have now. (To this point)
Im trying to say, it could have been even worse, they could have made
                          the appearance and released nothing.

releasing "something" does not constitute we were lucky. I would gladly have had nothing at all if in fact Dave and VH could have made a full studio album and tour. Then and only then would I have felt the least bit of satisfied.
