    Mike's legacy as a bassist?

Bassists from other great rock bands have usually been in demand outside their original band, or at least did some credible solo work.

-Entwhistle had his own band and was a great talent
    -Sheehan has been everywhere
-John Paul Jones also played keyboards, and has worked with countless other bands, both before Zep and after
-Roger Waters, great writer and stays busy to this day

    etc,etc,etc

What has Mike done outside of Van Halen, or the Nob-oritas? (this is just a situation where Sam is using Mike against the sisters anyway).

Really, has he been in demand by any other band's or collaborations?

I know his talent is not critically acclaimed, but just curious.

      True dat.

It doesn't help that he's continually still tied to the hip of the round rocker either.

His legacy is throwing his bass down three stories by way of a bass solo, because he's too incompetent to actually play the fucking thing.

A move that Dave created and Mike still does to this day, it's worth adding.

He was the un-credited spacebass™ studio cat on Rush's 2112 album.

Legacy? Well, I suppose his bass parts will be carefully studied by any future bassists that pass through Roths band.

Beyond that, not much, I suspect. Guess his legacy will be a testimonial to both luck and being in the right place at the right time.

Michael Anthony is an excellent bassist.

He doesn't overplay and he is right inside the pocket.

Contrary to belief, Michael Anthony is one obstinate mofo.

                          Michael Anthony...

Integral part of the Classic Van Halen sound.

Actually (and this is gonna sound so sad), my mother had a bunch of old records out on the kitchen table the other day and on top of the pile was a Cher record from the 80's. I curiously picked it up and looked on the back, in the list of credits for the song 'If I could turn back time', one of the backing vocalists was listed as MICHAEL ANTHONY.

                            I'm not fucking joking.

I could be wrong, it could be a different Mike. But i've checked it a million times and it definatly says Michael Anthony among the list of backing vocalists. Someone should check it out to confirm.

There's Mike's legacy for ya....Cher's backing vocalist. Hahahaha
