    Neil Schon/Sammy

I interviewed Marko Mendoza before Soul SirkUS played up in Boston and he was semi-open about how he came into the band. He flat out said that Neil felt used by Michael and Sammy, that they used the buzz and levarage to get VH back into action. I talked with him and Neil off tape, and Neil seemed pretty upset about the whole thing but happy in a way since it turned out well for Soul SirkUS getting Marko and Jeff Scott Soto.

Not that I really care about this epic cheese vs cheese feud, but If I remember correctly, it was Schon who put the Planet Cheddar project "on hold" while he was working on a project with his Journey tribute band. Which he then abandoned and then put out like 2 DVD's and yet another greatest hits package featuring the "real" Journey.

So in this case, I don't think the Velveeta man and his sidekick So-he-blew-ski deserve all the blame.

the way neil made it sound was that that stuff was done when hagar and Anthony started negotiating with the brothers....that that pushed him back to the Journey stuff. who knows

Neil should count his fucking blessings that Hagar waddled onto something else and be thankful the association ended, rather than bitch about it.

Agreed, Schon has every right to be pissed at all the money he missed out on in 2004 when Red Tubs buggered off with Anthony back to Van Hagar; am sure there were literally dozens of people looking forward to a HSAS reunion.

At least Sammy is smart enough to chase the money. Sam is all about the money just like his friend Emril who is the Sammy Hagar equivalent to the culinary industry.

That Planet Us thing was doomed from the start. Remember when they were talking about the song Vertigo being thrown off the Spider-Man soundtrack because it was "Too Heavy" to fit with the album? It was thrown off the soundtrack because it SUCKED. Neal should count his blessings that it never flew.
