    i made a tape as a youngin' of ed's best bar work. just the parts with great whammy use. god, it made the van hagar much better! the more you pare down that garbage, the better it is! he did do some good ones with the slob though...

      The only problem with building your own guitar is you just don't know what it's going to sound like until it's done. Sometimes you luck out and have a great guitar and other times it's a dud. It's just kind of the nature of stringed instruments made of wood I guess. It's kind of nice to just go into a store and play what you are buying.
