Yeah the fashion sense of Van hagar back in 86 was like what the f@#k. Its like they were trying to look like sonny and crocket from miami vice with those baggy pink, yellow and powder blue pants and the pink blazers????
Again the style of the times but at least bands like Daves EEASM band or Motley Crue had the sense to wear pink spandex that was cooler looking. However Vince Neil wearing a white garter belt that was horribly wrong!!!!!Comment

Things DID get a bit weird, fashion-wise, after Dave. They never realled looked as cool as they did when he was in the band. One exception is EVH on the Right Here, Right Now video. He looks very cool, IMO. Casual look... messy hair, ripped jeans, T-shirt. He looked much more rock 'n' roll than Sammy did on that video. I don't think you can say "It was the fashion at the time" about what Sammy's wearing. It's just bad. It was the mid-80's, most metalheads had mullets. Please I bet 90% of the people on this board who were teens then had them. And don't say you didn't, I've seen pics people have posted on these boards of themselves in the 80's.Comment

Again, read other posts. That mullet shit didn't get big in metal until coincidentally after Dave was gone from VH...86, 87, when hair bands truly ruled rock. And Dave had a mullet of his own around 88 if I remember.Comment

Not true, I've worn a mullet since 1977. I've proudly worn my mullet for the past 35 years, and I was the person who single handedly started the hair style fad. Ever notice how you always blame sammy for everything wrong with Van Halen. Get a grip of realty and truth for once.Comment
