    Does it ever get old?

So I'm enjoying the drive home from work today, spring in effect.....Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder, etc. You know how radio stations play little clips of artists saying hello, plugging the station, that deal? Well, on comes a familiar voice wishing 96 rock a happy birthday...says that ain't bubble gum you stepped in Hotlanta, the souls of ya shoes is meltin'.......

    I know that voice!

    Good-ol' DLR!!!!

Cue the jungle drum intro of "Everybody Wants Some"....

    OHHHHH------WHOAH-WHOAH-WHOAH-WHOA........

You know what's next, that crazy-assed BROWNSOUND screechin' and scrailin', we've all heard it a gazillion times.

The song takes off and a bit of advice is offered up...

"YOU CAN'T GET ROMANTIC ON A SUBWAY LIIIIIINE!"

Kinda know it by heart dont'cha? Heard it a gazillion times.

    Am I right?

    I know I have.

That being said, does it ever get old? As I was reaching for the volume nob, it hit me. I know what you're thinking, it wasn't a car-pool van full of Jessica Simpsons. It was the fact that I've probably turned that song up a gazillion times, and it's never gotten old.

Yes, they NEVER get old, and why? Because it's Van Halen. Very few bands can pull that off. Van Halen was truly that awesome. Unlike another incarnation of that band that I don't even want to think of mentioning...you all fucking know.

"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."

No CVH song will ever lose its edge...........anytime I hear one start up I know from that first cord it's VH and immediately crank it.

Especially Everybody Wants Some......that is by far my fav VH song.

Oh and for the Hagar fan saying that shit is CVH I have almost never heard a van Hagar song on the radio anyways and if I did I'd turn the channel.
