Wasn't bad. I found it on Netflix. It was only about 70 minutes long but it was pretty cool. Seemed like something along the lines of a VH1 documentary. Never really heard it before but Michael Anthony seemed to have more pull in the band than Alex or Ed. Some pretty interesting stuff though back in the early 80's or late 70's when Halen was making it big and touring with Journey and then they got booted from that tour(Perry was jealous of the girls coming to see Dave) to hang with Sabbath, Ozzy didn't want anything to do with them because Dave and the boys were making them...well not so great. From there Halen was headlining

There have been mixed reviews and I understand why some people hate it (no VH tunes or new interviews) or dig it. I helped the producer Mark McLaughlin on this. He originally wanted to document the entire history of the band, but when the VH camp and Warner Bros wouldn't get on board it was impossible to do. He couldn't get any rights to any of the VH catalog (he had the money to do it, but was denied permission) and none of the current or past members of the band would grant interviews.
So Mark basically had to piece together what he had and make the best of it - and that was stories from the early years of the band.
I thought he did a good job considering the obstacles he had to face.Just because the title "moderator" is under my name doesn't mean I have to be nice to cunts like you. - DLR7884 to FPC

I always saw Mike as the bitch that was just there. What kinda pull could he have??
I mean hes not a great bass player....as far as I know didn't contribute to the songwriting process, So I mean what leverage could he have ?Comment

I don't want to pay £9.99 for it, because it's not an official documentry, so I'll probably get it when it goes down in price (if it does-CVH stuff going down in price is very rare-I've never seen it, wel, except for Diver Down).Fast & Bulbous, Got Me?Comment

I have the DVD. Haven't seen it yet, though.<img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/screwthesisters/del2.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">
"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."Comment

Yeah, Mark came into the Links and wanted more people to go onto Amazon.com and write more positive reviews for the DVD since everyone was trashing it because it had no Van Halen music on it. He said he tried his heart out to get permission to use the music but was denied.Originally posted by vanzilla

I thought it was incredibly well done for an unauthorised documentary and good to see some rare pics (Dave with the jungle studs in the Amazon) and seeing interviews with the former bass player Mark Stone and Ed Anderson.Comment

I liked the thing, seems like I was one of the few around here who did. Like has been said, I thought it was very good considering the sisters gave zero cooperation. Plus I doubt we'll ever see anything from those guys unless they're bashing Dave.Originally posted by Grant
