Sam Edwina Alexa and The Bassplayer deserve each other. They destroyed the legacy of Van Halen. Dave should stay the fuck away from that sunk ship, not even Daves carisma and musical genius could help the once mighty, now fallen Van Halen.

I think fans want to see dave back in the band, and I also think dave would like to be there as well. But even Dave will have conditions. Van Halens music has sucked donkey balls for the last 10 years. Whomever they get as a singer wont change the fact they will still need to change their attitude, style and approach to what brought them their seat at the table of great RnR bands. Dave is the missing ingredient, whether Ed, Al or mikey realise it. If they choose to continue on the embarrassing path they are on, producing craptactular music like the last 3, they will NEVER reGain the respect of the millions of fans they have lost over the years. "Up for Breakfast"??? That wasn't played ONCE on my radio. Not once. They are, and have been lost without Dave's input.
Dave on the other hand has done more than just make music here and there. He's pleased his fans. He pleased himself. He ventured and tried new things. He put back what he took away. (ie Paramedics including saving a woman's life) Who has Ed saved? He cant save himself. What has Ed or Al or Mike learned from the fallout of 1984? What about 1996? Nothing. Ask Dave and he'll tell you alot has been learned from both situations.

Van Hagar can continue on and make the worst pop music anyone has ever heard, pack up their popcorn venues with the 4,000 fans they have left and Dave will still do, EXACTLY what he wants to do, when he wants to do it.
