Get out, rock out
Every Thursday, Liner Notes tells you what to do this weekend. Don't like it? Tell us what you'll be doing.
Maya says: I'm so stoked that Van Halen's Diamond Dave is making a comeback (even cooler that locals Dirty Sweet landed the opening gig)! I'll try to catch that show at House of Blues on Friday if I'm not busy droppin' it like it's hot with Snoop at RIMAC the same night. Still, if I miss every other show this weekend, the one I definitely don't want to lose out on is Kaki King, who plays Acoustic Music San Diego in Normal Heights on Sunday. This chick is only in her early 20s and stands about five feet tall with a lip ring, but she busts out some fingerstyle guitar chops that will send you reeling. I saw her open for Nellie McKay at the Belly Up last year and was completely won over. She's unforgettable.
