Yesterday when the news started to break, after the reality of it set in...that I COULD see EVH again...I was jacked up a little bit.

Then I imagined myself shelling out, what, a hundred bucks...to go and see Van Hagar. I saw Van Hagar several times. I saw "Van Halen: The Broadway Show" (that's a great fucking line! I had that up on my "faggy Yahoo fan-site", as Hitch refers to it.) with Gary in 98.

Im all set with seeing the SAME set, the same solos, the same LYING positive spin that the Van Halens will bore us all with.

Im done.

Not going.

I, however, will not get pissed if YOU (in general) decide to go. Eddie has TONS of $$, so trying to boycott the shows to give him less money probably wont achieve much.

This tour will not flop, whether or not you want to admit it, Van Hagar has fans of thier own. Myself included. Some of us like all Van Halen, well not the 3rd version.

I just don't get it. It's not so much my pure, black hatred for Van Hagar, I guess, as it is forking down my money to see these four ACT like they're having the times of their lives on stage this summer, laughing it up and prancing around like clowns, all while sucking in the money and cheating every last fan in the stands. Then they walk off stage and don't talk to each other until they act like best friends again in the next town.

These guys are fucking dicks who are in it ONLY for the CHA-CHING.

All they’ll be doing this summer is selling back cheap memories of a half-assed band impersonating something that was real about 25 summers ago.
