This is from www.jumptheshark.com regarding the TV game show Hollywood Squares, on which Bruce Vilanch was a regular, and oddly enough, Sammy Hagar also appeared for a week, probably to prove that he was NOT Vilanch :D
Each week, at least three of the 'celebrities' are people I've never heard of, and another three are has-beens apparently just trying to get their faces on the screen again. (This week, 10/18/02, Who the hell is Sammy Hagar, and why is he 'Mr. Rock and Roll?' Thousands of rock albums in my collection, dating back forty years, and no mention of him. And Arsenio looks and acts like a burnt out crack head; there's some blond whom I've never seen or heard of before; a second string country-pop singer; a boxer...) And the final round is pathetic; the emcee wastes half the contestant's thirty seconds sputtering the statements so they're lucky to get to answer four or five of them. If that's to be the format, at least give them 45 seconds. But at the end I see good ol' Fonz is at the helm now, perhaps that accounts for the JTS.Eat Us And Smile
