Why won't VH just say who's singing?

I’m not holding out hope that Dave will make a triumphant return to Van Halen. Fuck those guys. I’m tired of sweating about all that shit. I'm still not over '96, and dont' get me started on 2000.

But why all the suspense here now from the VH camp?

It just seems weird to me. Announcing a tour but no singer...and all this buildup is for...drumroll...curtain rises...here he is...Sammy Hagar. Blah. The most uninteresting act in rock, this guy.

What kind of unveiling is that??? Nice suspense. As we know, everyone is all but counting on that fucker Hagar coming back. Now, I’m just saying, what if all this suspense was for a REAL surprise. A REAL rock star...something that WOULD be big...

Maybe there is some truth to the rumour of a split lead singer? I dunno...just throwing out ideas. Maybe dave does a set then hagar? maybe thats why they are making a big deal out of it?

its because of contractual issues, and everyone knows sho is singing, and as far s the "most uninteresting act in rock", he sells more tickets than dlr and at least doesnt just charge $ for a vh cover band. dont get me wrong i love dlr in vh, but I am excited for the band to be coming back.

Lets not forget, dlr quit the band in 1985. He left, they didnt.

This split singer rumor that Bitch started is for the birds, man. And if true—and it could very well be—I’d never go. What a joke. Won’t happen anyway. Dave wouldn’t let MA onstage with him in 2002 because he didn’t want a half-assed VH reunion. He wanted the whole thing or nothing. I’d certainly call this split singer thing “half-assed,” too.

This LSD guy is killing me. Don’t you love how if Dave puts together a band that butchers the VH stuff they get shit on by the fans, but put a band together than rips it up and they’re a “cover band.” Take your thumb out of your ass, dummy. Dave’s band rocks better than Eddie and the boys right now HANDS DOWN.

And I’d like to see where Spam outsells Dave in the halls. And I don’t mean during those cheesy festival shows that fat turd always weasels his way into and says he headlines.

I heard he's got the same type of stage prescence as powerful singers like Meatloaf and that big fat dude that sang with Molly Hatchet for a while.

I am a fan of music, not dlr. I love what he was in VH, but that doesnt mean I am close minded to eds playing, that would be a fault of youre own.

your right. I wouldn't pay to see Dave share the stage with Spermmy. Dave is a ham in show biz. he's the ham we love. he doesn't need Sperm Hagar...Ed does. Mike shows up cause he's bored selling his meat sauce, and Alice just follows what little Edawrdo tells him to do. All thanks in large part to the management who insist to the Van Halen boys that they will make a killing playing with Spem.

I loved Ed's guitar playing. In fact Im trying my best to perfect that brown sound that he started in 78. But from 78 to 84 is brown. a good brown. From 85 to 98 minus 2 songs, is brown too. But its called shit. Id rather listen to an old cd than watch Ed play live now. he's nothing but a skeleton...
