The "Swamp Thing" rollercoaster was right next to the concert venue. It made two passes where you could see behind the stage, and on the first pass I yelled "David Lee Roth!!"....on the second pass it was alot more of the same from others.
I was commenting to someone how Dave probably enjoys these "Family Oriented" venues...Al Jolson would'a been proud. The band was spot-on and Dave seemed to be smiling alot more than the last few times I've seen him.
No booze flowing, and the same end result. Folks from 6 to 60 dancin', clappin', and freaking the fuck out.
Towards the end of the show, his mic was fucking up and he verbally accosted the sound guy....it was pretty harsh.
It was all about painstaking attention to detail and giving the asses in the seats something to remember.
A true professional I tell ya, with one of the hottest bands you'll ever see.
