I've been thumbing through MTV.com, watching some old-school vids by some decent groups, and decided to check out what they had for Dave videos. I watched the classic California Girls video, then decided to check out one I might not have seen for a few years.
I watched 'She's My Machine', and I must say, it's the most horrid thing Dave has put on film. He had a rep of being a grade-A video star with 'Panama', 'Hot For Teacher' and 'Gigolo', but that video surely wrecked his reputation amongst the MTV brass at the time. No wonder the album tanked (among other reasons) on radio and in sales.
I usually give Dave good grades on taste, but he should have fired that director after the storyboards were finished.
