Reality Check for a VH renuion

Reality is there will be no original vh reunion. Face it. I hate it but I am a realist. Too much water under the bridge. Ed and Alex have too much pride. Plus they are as stupid as MC hammer giving millions of dollars away. That is how stupid the brothers are. Or as stupid as Nikki Sixx overdosing and then shooting up heroin 3 or 4 hours after he got back home from the hospital.


Plus the brothers like fat singers.

Although we heard all the talk before about reunions, I think there is something more this time around. I think we will see a reunion. I mean floyd got back after all those years. I just think if for nothing else, they will do it for pride.

Let's face it - the best tracks VH had written in years were the one's that appeared on the Best Of Vol 1, with the man Diamond Dave on them. I'm refering to of course Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff No More.

What Eddie and Alex need to realise that as far as CVH goes, the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. But as Dave has said about Eddie - "He's not happy unless he's unhappy".

The reunion would NEVER happen because EVH can't suck it up and do it for his fans, which is just downright sad. He's never been that motivated by the fans (unlike Dave), he's always seemed to just want to do things for himself.

Very good post especially this part. Dave understood the music biz and Eddie didn't. Dave had a vision and Eddie didn't. Dave wanted to put VH on a special place on the board. Lets call it a chess board instead of the rock n roll board. Dave promoted, wanted to tour the fuck out of a porno movie and did everything to take VH to a different level than any other band.

Dave was like a King and a rook on a chess board. Ed just wanted to play guitar and be in seclusion. It's true he wanted to go home and just go in a room with Val. Ed was a bishop and a pawn sorta speak how he looked at the music biz. Bishops can only move diagonally and that is very awkward. Thats how Ed moved in the music world. The pawn part is a pawn just wants to do its thing and nothing else. The pawn can improve only if he gets to the other sideof the board and Eddie could have been a King too and I am not talking about guitar playing. I am talking about being a King on understanding the music biz.


And one last thing I didnt get this philosophy from Dave's awesome book. I felt this throughout the original line up years about the band.

Actually, he can, when he wants to piss SAMMY off. The rumor is he would do perfect renditions of CVH songs in soundcheck, then get drunk and fuck 'em up at the concert.:D
