Classic MTV quoted From Other Musicans In 96

Damn, why was eddie so blind!!! Eddie do this thing right this time!!

BILLY CORGAN, Smashing Pumpkins: Let's face it: Van Halen was it.

TABITHA SOREN: When David Lee Roth was with them?

    CORGAN: Absolutely. Absolutely.

MTV: The return of David Lee Roth has rock fans around the world talking. Many artists who grew up with the early Van Halen are thrilled.

KIM THAYIL, Soundgarden: I like the raw rock incarnation -- the original one. That's what I turned on to.

CHRIS CORNELL, Soundgarden: I think it's almost like KISS coming back with full make-up.

LARS ULRICH, Metallica: Seeing Van Halen with Dave again would be the ultimate. And I think it would do as well as KISS. And I hope they wanna do it. And more power to 'em and good luck.

TOM SALMORIN, Psychotica: I'm very excited that David Lee Roth's back in Van Halen.

MTV: David Lee Roth fans feel that the original Van Halen is the real Van Halen. But Hagar supporters say that their man was a better fit with the rest of the band, and that David Lee Roth's ego was the cause of the original split.

JERRY CANTRELL, Alice In Chains: I love Sammy and I don't know Dave. But I would have to say that I prefer Van Halen with Dave. I'm sorry to Sammy.

KURT: No clarification yet on whether David Lee Roth is back to stay or whether he's only recording a one-off track for an upcoming greatest-hits album, which is all Van Halen will say. Sammy Hagar, however, appears to be officially history, at least in terms of this band. <---SHOULD OF STAYED THAT WAY!

Ed clearly doesn't read or listen.

The '96 reunion would have been an absolute MONSTER. Getting Dave back now will generate some excitement, but nothing like it did then. They would have blown KISS away.

Knowing that a CVH reunion would ROCK everybody from Harlem to Beverly Hills really makes the fact that I don't think it will ever happen hurt...

During VH1's Top 100 Hard Rock Bands show the other day, my man Chuck D of Public Enemy even said, "When you think of the band Van Halen, you're talkin about Rock Purists...":D
Without DLR in the lineup, Van Halen is merely Rat Salade...

eddie has a chance to bring the band back to glory. So, they play the old stuff.. Get it out of the way, and then go record and tour again! That's what ed need's. Not to sit on his ass at home! But, looking at dave on this past tour, I think he is saving it all up for something. It def isn't his age. You could tell he has the urge to burst out with more kicks, and use more energy. Somethin' tell me, he is holding back a little. He also added jamie's cryin'. Which of course is another classic tune that get's a lot of radio airplay.. Here's to hopin'

                        No Doubt!

There will never be another Frontman like DLR, in my humble opinion... That dude has Soul, Charisma and enough high energy stage electricity to power North America for a century! CVH would never be my favorite band without the Diamond One...Owwwww!

If you were (or are) a muso, which incarnation of Van Halen would have made YOU say - " I wanna play in a rock band!" I'm sorry, but Love Walks In does NOT do that for me! Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love - YES!!! Somebody Get Me A Doctor - YES!!! Hot For Teacher - YES!!!

There is a fundamental difference between fans that listen to music because it's "fun" and those that listen because it changed thier life. CVH is like that.
