what dave needs to do again is look for some good musians, like he did when he walked out on vh in 85, daves not in a van halen tribute band so he needs to stop shopping for tribute band players and get back to being original again, he been molding his bands around what vh sounded like, that would be great if he was in van halen but he's not... maybe its just me but i thought dave had a great original sound on eat em and smile, sky scrapper , thats what he needs to get back to.

I'm relatively certain that Dave perfectly well understands that you wouldn't have seen Dave sitting on a couch threatening Dave to wear a cup...you wouldn't have seen Dave making a big deal about Eddie trying to steal the stage from him that night (1. because it could never happen, and 2. Dave would have just tried to upstage him some more...you're right...that is Dave.) Dave is who he is...a lead singer that has an ego the size of the Himalayas...and he knows it...
Ed is who he is...a lead guitarist who has an ego as big as the Himalayas...
the difference...Dave doesn't give a shit who tries to upstage him...he just goes with it...
