    Good comeback song for Dave

[move this to music if necessary]

Recently, I've heard "Never Been Any Reason" by Head East a few times on MusicMatch.

This song has been jumping out to me as something Dave should cover.

No shit... I know he's already done tons of covers, but this is a bit different.

First, the song sounds kind of ripe for a remake, and second, the lead singer [a dude] trades off the lead vocals with a chick. Dave has never done this [to my knowledge].

It could be kind of like the Ozzy/Lita Ford thing, albeit with a mellower song. Dave could rock this song up a bit. I think a mix like this would be a big hit... If only we could find someone to do a really radical guitar track....hmmm?

Any ideas who Dave could duet with?

Godammit, you sure are about the fastest smart-post outside the US.

That is ABOUT what lying sam sounds like, and it's PAINFUL, like the USA without a better Constitution to shore up Am. 1 and nix the artificial persons, but instead a Patriot Act for the cops to use on us, so nix partying.

Bitch in heat Uncle Sam needs help again, you know US schmoos better not cruise Paris too much after 2010, so the bombs went off in LONDON re Olympics and Olympia to show us to watch CONNECTED, Coast to Coast, with Ron Reagan and three stooges (like that three-to-the-hole and one up top shot in LONDON?) all kicking issues, Ron in Seattle, most features discussion showing four frames. Ron's father played the Iranians against the Iraqis for years, and nobody over there forgot that OR how GW is looking like old Godfrey of Boullion trying to get his ass really and righteously kicked, for Godfart's 1099 massacre of 40,000 innocent Muslim citizens of Jerusalem.

Sam is probably getting up an epic, but he'll sound like a goddam BITCH IN HEAT, and that will keep me from purchasing such a CD-'ho.

If Dave were to cover a song WITH VH...I have to fall back on a rumor from 2000...

                Magic Carpet Ride...

you listen to it once...and realize it was written for Dave...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

                  DIAMOND whatnow?

BUT SERIOUSLY Ben, dlr ain't duet material unless he is about to jump off to do weddings, REALLY, next tour.

You guys have trees in Israel, even though that guy Jesus who talked Aramaic wanted to whack them because the Roman tax on those which bore no fruit kept his meager desert hobo ass going at clearing that which was desertifying for all the hobo and conqueror type traffic.

dlr needs REAL rock, without waiting, since waiting is goddam GAY, so that when DAVE makes you guys WAIT, and you FIND OUT HOW HE MADE ALL YOUR ASSES ROAST WHILE YOU WAITED FOR YEARS, Dave ain't gonna look so rockin to you-all, and he hates guitar, ALL guitar, by now. what kind of duet for what suet do you think is happening.

Dave is holding up DIAMOND SHIPMENTS, and he has called himself DIAMOND Dave. If he were not worth a quick jump into DIAMOND LAND re 10 million unit sales, machinegun version, I would not be here 5 out of 7. ratatattat, in 45 minutes. but duet? I don't see THAT.

Covers? I see those. One I am worried about is a tuneup jam I did at several clubs in SF, 2003-4, that is liable to have been duped for the new Sam Halen, is an old Lou Reed thing I play as a ONE GUITAR part, where New Halen used sync and TWO DUPE GUITARS. If we hear that, I'll know it. Dave would never cover that, unless he gets THIS, here.

Sammy and Ed and their dupe MACHINES know how to play a more varied cover selection than Dave does. It only works for DAVE if he wants to get on the bandwagon he should have been on, already.

I think the perfect song for Dave to cover would be Sunshine Superman by Donovan. It's a Dave song, listen to that tune some time.
