Eruption/You Really Got Me, I was 14 in the back of my friends older brothers firebird. It was blasting and after the song I remember asking my friend who was that, He told me Van Halen. Later that day I asked my older brother if he had heard of Van Halen. He told me yes and gave me the album to listen to. It had a black and white sleeve. When he was in the marines he was stationed in Az. say them in california and bought the album.

I had to have more. And it wasn't more than 30 minutes the station (Gulf 104 in Tallahassee) played Running with the Devil....

That was 25 years ago, and I never quit being impressed - with CVH, I should say.

Well besides 'Eruption'...

That first opening riff to 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love' then when the lyrics kicked in...I was in awe! Was just wicked and I so related to it.

KDF the local Nashville radio station did a thing called "Smash or Trash" and introduced Van Halen and they played Eruption and You really got me. I was driving down a country road and damn near ran in the ditch! I had never heard anything like that before. That was 1977-78 and I have been a VH fan ever since. And thats the rrrrrrest of the story LMAO
