Pat Boone does NOT sing "Crazy Train" at the start of the Osbournes. It's a cleverly disguised Pat Boone soundalike, however.

Neal Sedaka sang "Laughter in the Rain".

I blew the story of Paul Anka doing "Jump" MONTHS ago.

I'm so fucking gay for knowing all of this
    Twistin' by the pool.

YOU GUESSED IT...HE DOES A SWING VERSION OF "JUMP". WTF. HAS THE WORLD GONE CRAZY? I KNOW WE LIVE IN A CRAZY WORLD WITH POVERTY AND TERRORISM THAT HAVE TO BE STOPPED BUT SO DOES THIS.

IM NOT SURE WHO GAVE HIM THE GO AHEAD TO DO THIS COVER (DLR / EVH AND THE BOYS/ OR WARNER BROS). EITHER WAY I THINK THIS IS AN INSULT TO ONE OF THE MOST COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL ROCK ANTHEMS OF THE 1980S. BUT TO VH / ROTH FANS THIS IS A DISGRACE.

I DOWNLOADED THE COVER USING A P2P SOFTWARE AND HEARD THE SONG COMPLETLEY. DO THE SAME AND BE PREPARED TO CRY.

THE ONLY GOOD THING US TRUE VH FANS CAN GET OUT OF ALL THIS IS TO HOPE THE SONG BECOMES SUCH A HIT AGAIN THAT PAUL ANKA PERFORMS IT LIVE ON THE GRAMMYS OR MTV AWARDS AND ROTH AND VAN HALEN JOIN HIM ON STAGE AS A KICK ASS WAY OF SAYING "THE REAL VAN HALEN IS HERE BACK AND HERE TO STAY "....JUST CALL ME A LTTLE DREAMER!

P.S I'D LOVE TO HEAR PAUL ANKA SAY " LOOK -AT- ALL- THE PE-OPLE HERRRE TOONIIIIGHT"

P.S GOING TO THE SARNIA SHOW JULY 15
      A) This is a duplicate thread - I awready started this one in the Music forum a few weeks ago.

      B) Yes, good ol' Anka covered a Classic Van Halen cover, which sounds a lot like Pat Boone's cover of 'Panama' a few years ago. Needless to say, Anka does a better version. And yes, the version is amazing, much like the rest of his new CD 'Rock Swings'. I know for a fact that Dave likes the version, and the truth of the matter is, Anka couldn't/wouldn't cover a Van Hagar tune for obvious reasons. Classic Van Halen has always been loved by several different musicians of different genres, but NOT Van Hagar.

      C) Don't kid yourself. Anka ain't gonna join Van Halen onstage for that song, with or without Roth. The cover is undeniably swing. The music has been rearranged. There are no electric guitars. If Anka does perform that song live, it'll be with his own band, and at very best, a reunited Van Halen announcing him and/or greeting him afterwards, but definitely not during.

      D) Can't make it to Sarnia. Go on and enjoy yourself!

Knowing and believing are two very different things.

It is the difference between the knowledge we accrue... ...and the knowledge we apply.
