Am not a fan of Van Hagar by any stretch, but can't see them being in the position of opening for anybody.
There are plenty of pseudo-rock fans, mostly ex-frattys turned wanna-be yuppies, who will gladly shell out cash to see a farce. It's the same demographic that keeps other has-beens like the Who, The Rolling Stones and the like rolling in dough year after year.
The interest will be there, and I can't see Van Hagar having to cobble together a 3 or 4 band package with other washed-up 80s acts in order to sell tickets.
Trust me, it would bring a smile to my face to see those four fall flat on their asses, but there are more than enough Eddie Grunts and Red Troll lovers out there to make it worth ed and Co's while.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment
