Dear Eddie id just like to tell you that you have been doing a fine job with the new album it was a big sucsess especially here in Ontario my girlfriend Marianne has told me that she has seen plenty of people sporting the Van Halen shirts here.
My girlfriend wears the stripped t-shirt that i got her at your concert and she always wears it to bed.
I always tell her to leave it on cause it will bring good luck to the band and that is something good.
Well just a few nights ago my daughter Trinity was crying in her room and we decided to put on Van Halen for her she seemed to like listening to it and it calms her right down.
I think that you are amazing and the best guitarist in the world right now.
It doesnt matter what thoese critics say you are the best even my father thought so when he was alive..

Dear Eddie,

I'm 14 years old. Before 7nth grade I had almost no friends. I was in a small private school that sucked big time. I spent everyday by myself at lunch and fell into a depression i couldnt get out of. I tried hard to make some friends by joining sports teams, but it didn't help much.

Sometimes after basketball practise on the way home, my dad and I would go out and buy a cd from Best Buy. He's a huge fan of Van Halen. So one day i just picked up your Live CD and said "hey why not". It was the best thing I've ever herd in y LIFE. I immediatly took up guitar.

That was 2 years ago. Ever since then I've been practising like a nut (about 4-6 hours a day!) and played Panama with a group of guys who were looking for a guitar player in my schools talent show last year. Instant popularity. I now have a lot of friends and it's great. I even got my brother hooked on playing guitar. I'm currently practising Eruption for my high school's talent show and im psyced!


I just want to say thanks Ed for inspiring me to play guitar. It was the best thing I ever did.
