If by big surprise you mean that DLR will actually rejoin VH, beleive me....I'd welcome that. I grew up listening to the Roth era, fer god's sake!

But I am not going to lie to myself that we are going to see THAT reunion.

Or you could also mean that Dave will continue to crank out solo records that sadly slip under the radar. That being the case...I guess I can just download that stuff.

I saw Cherone when he opened for Roth on the ALAE tour.

In no uncertain terms, Extreme Kicked A$$, and Roth knew it.

It's no secret that Cherone preferred Roth era to the Sheepdog era, just look at the VH3 setlist.

I say, that if there's absolutely no way we can get the Diamond One back in his rightful throne with VH, here's a few other suggestions:

1. Kim Mitchell
2. Marq Torien
3. Gary Cherone

Bringing back Sammy "Sheepdog" Hagar shows that yes, Van Halen still has an unfortunate drinking problem. Alex Van Halen is too whizzed to realize that inviting Sheepdog back was the worst possible career move that they could have made, and no, $$$ from this upcoming tour will NOT prove anything.

I will, however, be interested in seeing how much they rake in from this 'wannabe reunion'. They probably couldn't afford to hire DLR back in the band, so they offered Sheepdog 10% off the top.

Sheepdog was not available for comment.
