Dave solo sales VS. Hagar solo sales?

Who sold more albums solo Dave or the Red headed Monk? I would assume Dave. Anyone got the figures?

Well..offically, its.

Crazy From The Heat,Eat 'Em And Smile,Skyscraper,all went platinum, so thats 3million right away.

many people believe they also went multiplatinum.

ALAE went Gold, but many people believed it reached 1mil sales.

Hagar has had only 2 platinum records in a much longer solo career than Dave,in addition to 3 gold records.

Hagar probably,as much as I hate to say this,has sold more solo records than Dave...but for this one reason.. there's been 6 DLR albums, and Hagar has released 15, not including numerous live albums,compliations,etc etc.

Don't really see the point in comparing sales, anyway.

For example, CVH outsold Van Hagar nearly 2 to 1. If Van Hagar had sold more records than CVH, ain't like I'm suddenly gonna think Sam Halen was the bomb and CVH was the precursor to the definitive Van Halen lineup.

It's sort of a double edge sword. If CVH sold more records than Van Hagar, It's an accomplishment. If Hagar sells more solo, well...sales don't matter.

Oh well.

At least we can all take pride, that both are very talanted, and successful...Americans. :D
