    atomic punks

saw the atomic punks last night in tempe az i can say these guys can put on one hell of a show.the sam bashing was alot of fun also. one guy asked ralph lets do a vanhagar song diamond dave style so love walks in was the song. ralph said lets see what it would sound like if dave sang it. not much better but it makes you wonder how many tunes on 5150 were daves. if anybody has not been to a punks show go you will be blown away. i would like to hear them do me wise magic that would have been a real treat.

Hmmm, I always imagined Dave doing Poundcake would make sense, I think he would make the song sound a helluva alot better.
Still waiting for a relevant Browns Team

I've always wanted to see the Atomic Punks. Damn. I do wonder, though, what a Van Halenized Van Hagar song would be like?

"So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show..."

I've got alot of stuff off their web site. DAMN GOOD. I've never seen em cause im a million miles away. What a kick in nuts.

They are providing CVH fans (particularly young ones who never had a chance to see em in the glory days, like me) a huge service.

Ralph was disappointed that they didn't have a better quality video of Michael Anthony playing with them. In fact I don't think but just a few songs were even taped. What happened was Mike had been rehearsing with Van Cherone, and apparently was in the neighborhood and dropped in.

I just erased some videos I had encoded for them when we ran their site. Well I mean I still have the main digital encoding on disc somewhere, but all of the RealPlayer clips I did are gone. I would imagine Brett has a good library of their stuff now. My clips were all Brian Young era Punks.
